And I agree about the Flyers — they’ve cleaned up their act a lot, and when they’re healthy next year I think they’ll be a much better team. They were without Simon Gagne most of the season, and various other players for large chunks of the year as well — if they can manage to stay healthy their roster is pretty formidable.

Umberger was also conspicuously absent in this round. I almost forgot he was even playing.

Though I’m (obviously) rooting for the Pens, I definitely have to give the Flyers credit for a really great playoff run in which, for the most part, they didn’t play dirty and actually made it through on talent. I think they’re going to be tough to beat in the coming years. They’ll be a scary team to play, and not just because of their tough guys.

I can’t wait to see the Pens in the finals, and every game they do more to convince me that they’re ready for the Cup. Though they obviously put the game away last night, to see how hard they fought to keep MAF’s shutout… you know they’re going for broke.
